Our complete package contains everything you need: charge controller, cables, screws and easy-to-understand assembly instructions. Installation is done without drilling or gluing on the original C-rail.
The semi-flexible solar module combines functionality and style. With its minimalist design and low installation height, it fits seamlessly into your VW California and remains robust and weatherproof thanks to double ETFE technology. The height of your VW California remains under 2 meters.
You can use the app to monitor the performance data and battery status of your solar panel at any time. The Victron SmartSolar 75/15 MPPT controller with Bluetooth ensures efficient energy conversion and maximum yield.
Our solar module is suitable for the VW California models T5, T6 and T6.1.

Victron Smart Battery Sense – When is it needed in the VW California?
The Victron Smart Battery Sense is an advanced battery sensor that provides detailed information about your battery's temperature and voltage . It connects to your solar charge controller via Bluetooth and takes over temperature monitoring when the solar charge controller cannot be placed directly next to the battery.
Important: Only for use with T6.1, T6 and T5 Ocean and Coast models equipped with AGM batteries.
A Battery Sense is only required for VW California T6.1, T6 and T5 Ocean and Coast models .Reason:
AGM auxiliary batteries are installed as standard.
There is no space in the rear battery compartment in the cabinet to mount the solar charge controller directly to the battery.
The Battery Sense therefore transmits the required temperature information wirelessly to the Victron charge controller.
Not required for lithium batteries & controller location directly next to the battery
The Battery Sense is not needed :
with factory-installed lithium batteries , e.g. in the VW T7 California ,
when connecting under the driver's seat in the T6.1, T6, T5 Beach , as the regulator can be mounted directly next to the battery there,
as well as with the installed OffgridPRO Lithium package from CALIFAKTUR.
Recommendation – only for T6.1, T6, T5 Ocean/Coast AGM in the rear cabinet
We recommend using the Battery Sense only when the CALIFAKTUR solar module is connected to the rear AGM battery in the cabinet of the T6.1, T6, T5 California Ocean or Coast .Since there is no space for the charge controller directly on the battery, the Battery Sense takes over temperature monitoring and transmits it wirelessly to the Victron charge controller via the VE.Smart Network .
